You shop for a mattress and lay on it, roll over, bounce, and finally decide to buy what you think is perfect for you.

You’re excited to sleep on it! See how it makes your nights restful, your dreams more sensual, your mornings relaxed!

So what sheet are you putting on that new mattress?

Have you been shopping for sheets lately? There is a myriad of selections to choose from. There are sheets that boast about high thread count, softness and luxurious feel. Some have colorful patterns that are pleasing to the eye. One thing that remains the same on the retail floor in the bedding department is that the sheets are primarily woven.

On the contrary, if you have been in the market for purchasing a new mattress, you will find quite the opposite is true. As a knitted ticking company, Creative Ticking has been supplying luxurious knitted ticking to mattress manufacturers enhancing their new mattress technology. We have been caressing the curves in the mattress industry for several years. Mattresses have evolved from the old springs and coils to a modern updated selection of memory foams, latex and improved technologies to offer a sleeping surface that shapes to the body for the perfect night’s sleep.

So, we asked ourselves the question. Why would you put a set of woven sheets on a new mattress?

The mattress industry migrated away from the use of woven ticking years ago. It only makes sense to extend that performance to the sheets that you actually sleep on. Creative Ticking has developed a variety of knitted sheets that not only shape to the body, but also offer fibers and treatments that compliment your new mattress. Our knitted sheets, by design, create a 4-way stretch that hugs the mattress and shapes to the body; we call this caress the body’s curves, all through the night. There are no wrinkles in our fitted sheets that transfer to your face or body. You will not have to put the sheet’s corners back on the bed every morning. Our knitted sheets move with you throughout your sleeping experience, creating a perfect partnership between the mattress and the sleeping surface. Beyond the basic attributes of knitted sheets, our sheets also offer the consumer qualities that go beyond caressing the curves. We have sheet solutions that help regulate body temperature, wick away moisture produced during the sleeping cycles, prevent bacterial growth, and other characteristics that create a healthy sleeping experience – all with a luxurious feel for the perfect sleep.

So, if you are interested in the perfect sheets to Caress your Curves™, visit our booth at ISPA March 14 – 17.

Does your product enhance the sleeping experience?

Do the products used to make a bed enhance or restrict the performance of the foam, latex, springs?

As we design mattress ticking and FR Barrier solutions, we look for characteristics to produce fabrics that enhance rather than inhibit the mattress’ performance.

Take for example, latex. What are the benefits of latex and how can we enhance the feel with our fabrics? We know that a healthy sleeper changes his or her position maybe 50 to 60 times during the night to avoid painful aches. Being able to change positions without interruption or obstruction is essential to a good night’s sleep and a pain-free morning. Latex affords the sleeper just that. Latex mattresses adapt to the body’s contour and keep the spinal column in the perfect alignment regardless of the position that the sleeper is in. The mattress is soft when you first lay on it but the resistance increases as the latex compresses creating the perfect comfort zone.

The structure of the latex lends itself to provide the perfect ventilation system, helping perspiration to evaporate while you sleep. The tiny air-bubble structure creates the ideal balance in temperature. The mattress is able to breathe. Understanding all of the properties of latex and how that benefits the sleeper is our first step in finding creative solutions ahead of the curve.

How important are the fabrics that go on top of that latex mattress? Why would you put a ticking or FR barrier on top of a latex mattress that doesn’t have the same characteristics as Latex? If you cover a latex mattress with a rigid material that does not stretch and breathe, you have just forfeited the benefits of latex.

Our mattress fabrics for latex enhance the feel and performance of a latex mattress. We believe that the fabric should caress the body’s curves and move in tandem with the latex. It should have a 4-way stretch that is soft, cool, and breathable. With our Resilliensse Stretch fabrics, we provide ticking solutions to create the perfect marriage between mattress and mattress ticking. With our Caress for Latex FR Barrier, we provide a FR solution to enhance the Latex feel, not restricting any of the benefits.

Caressing the curves is our business.

After many years of working in my family’s knitting business from early high school, breaks from college, to a full-time career after graduation, I have had the opportunity to learn the entire knitting industry from the floor up. During the years of the economic turn in the textile business in an area of the country that had enjoyed a long, rich and prosperous history in textiles, it was a time to reinvent ourselves by diversifying to survive what many other textile businesses could not. Becoming innovative was born out of that necessity. Long gone are the days of that bygone era of bountiful agriculture and flourishing textile mills in the piedmont of North Carolina and across our country. Today, with a team of forward-thinking, experienced associates, we have managed to create a successful culture of producing innovative solutions ahead of the curve. Focusing on the future to provide solutions for our customers’ requests today remains paramount in our mission as a company. At Creative Ticking, we work as a team everyday to anticipate future needs and deliver valuable, quality products.
