Tencel
The dawn of a new era in fiber technology.
Tencel absorbs excess moisture and quickly releases it again into the atmosphere resulting in outstanding moisture management. The unique structure of the tiny fibrils (little “hairs”) which make up the fiber are created in an arrangement resulting in new functional properties. The fibrils are hydrophilic. Using this new fiber technology for textiles brings to life new innovations that were never possible before.
Tencel naturally impedes bacterial growth as a result of the moisture controlling properties. When moisture is produced from the skin, it is immediately absorbed and transported to the inside of the fiber, eliminating any water film that would allow bacteria to grow. Tencel proved to be the most effective in eliminating the growth of bacteria due to the rapid absorption rate and superior absorption capacity.
Tencel is a 100% natural fiber made of natural cellulose extracted from quality eucalyptus pulp produced under stringent guidelines. Waste from the production of Tencel is biodegradable and has a low negative impact on the environment.

The look and feel of Tencel has endless possibilities. The ability to manipulate Tencel in a variety of ways gives you the opportunity to produce different fabrications – from suede-like or peach touch surfaces to clean, silky smooth touch attributing to the soft hand of Tencel fabrics.
Tencel’s high tenacity in both the dry and wet state elevates the dimensional stability of the end product. Only a small percentage of Tencel in the yarn is required to make textiles particularly durable.
